It was the 1960s — the decade Carmen Rosales, who owns Connie’s Mexico Cafe, and scores of Hispanics would get their own heroes: Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez.

Huerta will share her message from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wichita State University’s Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 5015 E. 29th St. North.
