If there’s any doubt about the need for Hispanic auto insurance agents in the Des Moines area, look at Gloria Mendez.

Mendez, 25, who lives in Des Moines and is a native of Mexico, opened a south-side office and began working for Farmers Insurance in November. She already has established herself as one of the top five agents nationally for the company.
