The Board of Directors of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the nation’s leading advocate for Hispanic-owned businesses, today announced its support for the nomination of Judge John Roberts to serve as the 17th Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The board strongly maintains that with Judge Robert’s nomination and the announced retirement of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, President Bush is uniquely positioned to make an historical appointment by nominating Attorney General Alberto Gonzales as the first Hispanic justice of the Supreme Court.
