Diversity not always equal deal on front office, managerial level

According to the 2004 Racial and Gender Report Card, published by the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport, there are only five minorities among MLB’s 30 managers (20 percent); only 11 percent of team vice presidents are minorities; only two of 30 general managers (6.7 percent) are minorities, and there is one minority owner.
