Florencia Aranda sees hope.

Not everyone sees the prospects she does, however. They may see a battered woman in a dead-end situation with language barriers and perhaps questionable immigration status whereas Aranda sees a chance for a change and new beginning. The insight serves her well as the advocate for the Spanish-speaking community at the Shelter for Help in Emergency and for the Sexual Assault Resource Agency.
