Mexicans living in the U.S. will select next volunteer advisor

On Sept. 24, Cameron, Willacy and Kennedy county residents will vote on their next advisor for the Advisory Council of the Institute of Mexicans in the Exterior, who will be tasked the next three years with improving the lives of mil-lions of Mexicans living in the United States.

There are 100 such advisors in this country and their primary job is to work with the Institute for Mexicans in the Exterior to assess the situation of Mexicans living abroad and formulate recommendations to improve the way that government attends to their needs.
