A south Omaha church - an anchor of the area’s Latino community for more than 50 years - will close and then reopen in a half-year with a new face and more seating space. Prompting the expansion and update of Our Lady of Guadalupe is an influx of Spanish-speaking immigrants. But the church at 2310 O St. also stands out locally because of its mix of Latino generations.
