Arkansas River Valley group wants voice in our community

In an effort to get Latin American citizens more involved in the local community, government and school system, the local chapter of a national agency for the civil rights of Latinos held a public meeting last week asking local officials to help.
With almost 50 people in attendance, including representatives from several federal, state and local organizations, there was much to talk about and much to learn at the Arkansas River Valley League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) meeting.
