The Copa Tecate is the annual national championship for amateur Hispanic teams, a summer-long tournament involving 2,500 teams and 45,000 players from 22 cities. This year the final was at Southwestern College’s DeVore Stadium, and Alta Vista left little doubt about which is the best team for 2005, hammering La Piedad of Chicago 6-0 yesterday before an estimated 5,000.
