The sound of Latin music once again infiltrates Grant Park as the 17th annual Viva! Chicago festival gets under way this weekend. With its wide array of performers, it is one of the largest events of its kind in the Midwest — and it’s free.

Leading the pack are hip-hop artist Vico C, bachata duo Monchy y Alexandra, Latin pop star , teenage alt-rocker JD Natasha and Colombian-American singer-songwriter Soraya.
