While the general U.S. home-entertainment retail market””including its books subsection””is undergoing consolidation, there are bright spots. One of the major ones: Spanish-language stores. Take Ritmo Latino: With 41 million Hispanics living in the U.S., the Tinton Falls, N.J.–based retailer is having no trouble meeting expansion targets, having just opened the first of four stores it’s planning for the Phoenix market. Indeed, Ritmo Latino has opened eight stores in just the past 18 months, bringing the total to 42.
