With the burgeoning Latino population in America, many more Latinos are falling victim to predatory lending schemes. Currently, only 48% of all Latino households own their home, but that number is rising drastically. Unfortunately, while many Latino families are experiencing the joys of homeownership, too many have fallen victim to predatory lenders. For several reasons, the Latino community is especially vulnerable to the dirty tactics of predatory lenders and it has kept many families from achieving their part of the American dream.
